Hull painting design

I have changed my mind on the hull colors. I will be going with a red base (not
green). Here are some Gimp'ed images of Nightwatch where I try different color
schemes.

Staying with the red idea (in memory of LIL MULE), am now playing with various
ideas involving her series number, 75, and the location of her name.
With no name on the side:

In the front:

I rather prefer it back towards the stern, as it balances out the number (this is the preferred version so far):

The current French law specifies that for sailboats of this size that the font size must be greater than 7cm and the letters wider than 3 cm, and their weight must be at least 8mm. It only stipulates that it must be on the transom, and so I am free to place it on the sides of the hull as I please - as long as it is correctly placed on the transom.
Her current port d'attache is Saint-Brieux (SB), which is in Brittany, so I may end up changing this to be Le Havre, as at least that is a port I will be sailing out of, and it is on the Seine where she is currently. Saint-Brieuc I will continue to post other ideas on this page as I come up with them...
Here is one that I originally thought of, as it is a racing schema of MGBs:

A MGB, like LIL' MULE, illustrating this on the roadster:

Whereas the circle is very sporty, I find that the simple white number against the deeper red is more classy.
Another color pattern I thought of was blue and yellow (inspired by my love of Sweden), however, this gets away from the significance of the original LIL MULE, which was red.

However, yes, I almost did name the boat Kärlekskurs (inside joke) but then though that the name would not go over so well in France via VHF...

ONGOING IDEAS
Red hull, white 75, and black name:

Comments
Have fun !
